Description: The aim of the study was to compare the used and disused of gibberellin hormone on the production of yanagi mushroom. Using 5 different concentrations of gibberellin, 0.1%, 0.05%, 0.01%, 0.005%, 0.001%, to evaluate the growth of mushroom, the results showed that 0.001% of gibberellins concentration gave the best mushroom growth and the next were 0.005% and 0.01% gibberellins concentration respectively. The mushroom quantity gained from the use of 0.001% gibberellins hormone was 20.98 ± 1.97 g/each. The qualities, from using hormone, of moisture, ash, fat, fiber, protein and carbohydrate were 94.8%, 11 g, 2.91%, 3.85 g, 14.39% and 78.58% respectively. Meanwhile the weight of mushroom gained from disuse hormone was 18.66 g ±7.37 g/each. The qualities, from disusing hormone, of moisture, ash, fat, fiber, protein and carbohydrate were 90.2%, 12.1 g, 5.52%, 2.05 g, 31.65% and 59.57% respectively. The comparison of use and disuse hormone on the mushroom production by t-test for equality of means at 95% confidence found that the quality of mushroom from using the hormone (0.001%) was different to those which disuse the hormone except the quality of moisture and lipid.
