The research entitled Klong Bhucha in Society and Culture of Chiangmai people is a qualitative research aimed to study the culture of Klong Bhucha in the city center of Chiangmai. 5 selected temples were chosen to study in this research, which were Wat Ket Karam, Wat Kho Klang, Wat Lokmolee, Wat Ku Tao and Wat Lanka. The data was collected using Anthropology of Music Methodology. Data analysis and presentation of descriptive analysis results are shown as followed. Klong Bhucha was importantly imparted in the community of Lanna people. In the ancient eras, Klong Bhucha was considered as a tool to make an indicative sounds for significant events in the community. Also, it was used in several religion-related ceremonies. Klong Bhucha physically appears in a set of percussion instruments made of a hollowed piece of shorea obtusa shorea siamensis, which is covered by a cow skin. There are three small drums of different size called Look Tubb anchoring on the side. Look Tubb can also be placed on the holders at the level suitable for the player to play. The drum sticks are either Mai Koon or Mai Saee. In recent years, Klong Bhucha has been found to be made by people in the community, which is then given to a temple as part of donation. Making Klong Bhucha is believed as people merit and this activity has constantly received attention from people. Therefore, the culture of Klong Bucha must be passed on in open, not just in a close group of talented musicians. Culture and knowledge of Klong Bucha should be passed on to those who are interested on the purpose of cultural offerings to hold its values in the society.th_TH
